Editorial Nominations for
The Orison Anthology (2022)

With bows of appreciation to the following fine poets for publishing with MacQ, we’re pleased to announce our nominations of six poems for Volume 7 of The Orison Anthology (to be printed in Autumn 2022):

Best-of-luck wishes to each of these nominees!

As described by Orison Books (Asheville, North Carolina): “The Orison Anthology is an annual collection of the finest spiritually engaged writing from a broad and inclusive range of perspectives, that appeared in periodicals in the preceding year. Our anthology aims to not only fill, but expand the space left by the absence of the Best American Spiritual Writing series.

“Editors of literary periodicals (print or digital) may nominate work in a single genre or in multiple genres to be considered. In addition to reprinted material [selected from Editorial Nominations], each year the anthology will also include new, previously unpublished works of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry by the winners of The Orison Anthology Awards, judged by different prominent writers each year. The author of any work selected for inclusion will receive a complimentary copy of the anthology; the periodical where the work originally appeared will also receive a complimentary copy.”

More information, including a mission statement, may be found at the guidelines page for Orison Books.
