Poem by Gary S. Rosin

Still Standing

Bodie Ghost Town. Snow
slants across the steeple
of the old church.

Its bell no longer breaks
the silence of the snow,

offers no shelter
from the bite of the wind,
the weight of your life.

You stand in the falling,
listen for ghosts, but hear

only your own
pulse, counting in one ear
the ticking of years.

You brush flakes off shoulders,
lest they fill your pockets.

No angels in the snow.

Chuck Kimmerle
Issue 32 (June 2026)

is a U.S. based, fine-art landscape photographer who prefers to work in the reticent and quiet areas located in-between the popular, overcrowded, and over-photographed destinations of grand beauty.

While his style is rooted within the foundations of traditional landscape photography, his observations and interactions are both contemporary and introspective.
