Familiar, Yet Forgotten

 

How often I have driven these familiar streets with their rows of buildings, billboards, and neon signs, yet one day there is an empty lot where once there was a building and I have no idea what once stood there.

concern about 
this strange patch of skin 
only to learn 
it’s the vaccination mark 
I have had all my life

is a CPA, attorney, and poet who lives in Los Angeles, California. His writing has been widely published in prestigious poetry journals, has been translated into several languages, and has won numerous awards worldwide.
