Keep the Wolf from the Door

Into the pot fell the wolf with a big splash!

The canny little pig added garlic, shallots, a bouquet garni bag, and left the pot to simmer.

He squeezed into his Armani gold lamé suit, cracked open the Moët, and TikToked himself, tottering and trotter punching to his favourite song—“Brick House” by the Commodores.

The video went viral within seconds.

Past the derelict straw and stick houses, Mrs. Wolf trudged home from the food bank. Tonight, the cubs would share a can of saveloys. She and Mr. Wolf would go without. What time, she wondered, would he be back?
