Prose Poem: 53 words
By Guy Biederman

In the Swing

I wake up with Sinatra in my head, dress in black, grey hat, drive the old Mercedes to town, elegant soft leather seats that smell of old money. In the swing, everything’s brighter than the day before. People smile back, so I know I’m smiling. But maybe it’s the hat.
